Gaudí's Barcelona

The Sagrada Família

The architect began construction of this monumental building in 1883, but he died before it was completed. Still under construction, he never had the chance to see it finished. The artist is buried in the crypt.
Park Güell
Parc Güell is an outdoor wooded area where even the benches are true works of art. The must-see attractions in Barcelona
While Antonio Gaudí left a profound mark on Barcelona's architecture, the capital of southern Catalonia has plenty of wonderful surprises in store for visitors, offering a wealth of history and a way of life that is almost part of its identity. Museums, mansions and private residences, parks, narrow streets, gastronomy... there's plenty to see and do! Don't hesitate to explore the narrow streets of the Barrio Gotico or stroll along the Ramblas, which connect Plaça de Catalunya to the old port, where the iconic statue of Christopher Columbus stands. Take the opportunity to visit La Boqueria, Barcelona's picturesque covered market, and sample some Iberian Serrano ham or other tapas with a glass of cava. Take the time to ride the Montjuic funicular railway to the top of the city and discover a breathtaking view of Barcelona.
Finally, don't forget the CAMP NOU, the temple of soccer and home to FC Barcelona, which houses a gigantic stadium (98,000 seats) and a museum displaying all the trophies won by the famous Catalan soccer club. Getting to Barcelona from the campsite
Ma Prairie is a campsite near Spain. There are several ways to get to Barcelona from Canet-en-Roussillon.
- By car, the 200 km journey takes just over two hours. It is best to park your car outside the city and take public transport to the city center. You can buy a Hola BCN! card, which gives you unlimited access to Barcelona's buses, trams, and metro.
- You can also get there by train, taking the bus from the campsite (line No. 6 CTPM) which terminates at the Perpignan TGV station.
