A partner of Accueil Vélo (Bike Welcome), enjoying a great location, the Ma Prairie campsite welcomes you.
Located in the village of Canet en Roussillon, between vineyards and orchards, between the sea and the mountains, Ma Prairie offers you a taste of the countryside just 3 km from the beaches, accessible via the Voie Verte greenway that runs alongside the campsite (shared with pedestrians).
We are delighted to welcome you from May to September to our peaceful, shaded site surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation.
Our pitches are marked out and grassy, with an electrical hook-up and additional services (water and waste water disposal). We offer pitches for tents and motorhomes, but we also have the option of renting you recent and spacious accommodation in mobile homes, cottages, and pitched tents.
We offer personalized attention to each of our guests. Your bike will be secure when parked in our garage, which is equipped with a camera. In addition, a security guard monitors the campsite. Bike racks are also available near the bar/restaurant and sports facilities.
If you are traveling on a road trip, we offer nightly rentals.
The reception is open every day:
- In low season: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. / 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- In July/August: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Ma Prairie offers many attractions and services for adults and children alike!
The reception team is at your disposal to provide you with all the information you need for your stay, both tourist and practical. We are locals, so we can offer plenty of advice. Among other things, you will find a tourist map of the department, a cycling map of the department, and walking routes in the surrounding area.
If you've forgotten your bike, you can hire one to explore the four themed trails around Canet, access the sandy beaches and gently sloping sea, try your hand at paddleboarding, windsurfing, etc., or attend events at the Europa swimming pool (competitions with the world's best swimmers).
We rent cruiser bikes, trailers, and baby seats.
For safe riding, helmets and puncture repair kits are provided. We have a repair shop for any damage.
If you wish to transfer your luggage to your next accommodation, we can arrange this via a taxi company (additional charge).
Two options for traveling with a bicycle
By train
On board all trains: folded or dismantled and stored in a cover, bicycles are accepted free of charge, subject to availability. Considered as hand luggage, bicycles in covers must be labeled and must not exceed the maximum dimensions allowed: 120 x 90 cm.
On most trains, dedicated spaces marked with a pictogram allow you to travel with a bicycle* (subject to availability).
*Only standard bicycles are accepted on trains. Recumbent bicycles, tricycles, tandems, and trailers of any kind are not permitted.

TGV: stops and departures via Perpignan
- Free transport of dismantled bikes in a special luggage cover with maximum dimensions of 120 x 90 cm.
- Transport of non-dismantled bikes in a special area is subject to a fee (€10 per bike) and must be booked in advance. However, not all TGV trains have this space, so please check when booking.
- Paid SNCF "Baggage at Home" service, which picks up the bike and delivers it to the desired address (€80 per bike).
Intercité: stops and departures via Perpignan, Elne, Argelès-sur-Mer, Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, Cerbère
- If the bike is not dismantled, it must be placed in the designated areas.
- Reservations are sometimes required and must be made at the same time as purchasing the ticket.
- Consult the timetables and look for the "Bike" pictogram.
- On board each Intercity night train, there is a space for transporting bikes.
- Reservations are required (€10 per bicycle).
TER: lines 02, 05, and 06
- Line 02: Cerbère – Montpellier – Avignon.
- Line 05: Cerbère – Perpignan – Narbonne.
- Line 06: Perpignan – Villefranche – Latour de Carol (Yellow Train (TER) route).

The Red Train of the Cathar Country and Fenouillèdes (TPCF)
- Runs from Rivesaltes to Axat from April to October.

Buses operated by the Sankéo Company, line 3 “Canet-en-Roussillon – Perpignan”, run all year round, 7 days a week.
Bicycles are not accepted, including folding bikes.

Please note:
- If space allows, bicycles are accepted free of charge in the luggage hold, provided it is not already occupied by baggage (please note that lines to spa towns are often heavily loaded).
- Bicycles are only accepted on large-capacity buses, with a maximum of 3 bicycles per coach.
- Most luggage holds are not carpeted, so bicycles may slip. Customers should be made aware of this.
- Drivers are not authorised to assist cyclists with loading or unloading bicycles outside departure and arrival stations. In most cases, the driver will give instructions, but the customer must manage on their own.
- Neither the transport operator nor the Region can be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to transported equipment.

La Méditerranée à vélo is the French section of EuroVelo 8, the cycle route crossing 11 European countries from southern Spain to Cyprus. In France, La Méditerranée à vélo covers 850 km from Le Perthus to Menton.
The route offers a remarkable diversity of landscapes: the Pyrenees and Alps mountains, the Narbonnaise, Languedoc and Camargue Gardoise lakes, the Midi and Rhône canals in Sète, the Provençal hinterland and the beaches of Languedoc, Roussillon and the Côte d'Azur.
The route joins the Canal des Deux Mers à Vélo on the Canal du Midi and the Via Rhôna between Sète and Beaucaire.
