Canet Plage and Saint-Cyprien: many activities await you

Water sports

The Occitan region is favourable for water sports. Scuba diving, for example, allows you to discover the Catalan coastline from a different angle. The diving club in the port of Canet offers first dives for novices but also training, exploration or theme days for more experienced divers.

Some of the most common water sports activities are :

  • Sailing
  • Windsurfing
  • The jet-ski
  • The towed buoy
  • Sea kayaking
  • Surfing

Other water sports are less widespread but just as fun as kitesurfing, windsurfing or Stand Up Paddle.

How to keep the kids busy at the beach in the summer?

By choosing to spend your holidays in our 4-star Mediterranean campsite, enjoy the many activities available to you! Animations are organised all summer long by the town of Canet-en-Roussillon such as a beach rugby tournament.

If you have children, you can enjoy the small pleasures of the beach by making a sand castle: a classic that you never get tired of! With a ball, you can also play a lot of games such as tomato or dodgeball or simply play football or beach volleyball. Other beach classics are beach rackets (beach tennis, badminton, ...), Frisbee or kite flying. If the children can't yet try their hand at diving, introduce them to snorkeling or "water hiking". All you need is a diving mask, snorkel and flippers.

Don't forget to respect all safety rules. Supervise your children when they swim, do not swim in strong currents. Always take sunscreen, a covering T-shirt, glasses and a hat with you at all times. Also remember to keep yourself sufficiently hydrated.
