Wine tasting and concerts at the Domaine de La Perdrix
Domaine La Perdrix is a vineyard managed by the brother of Simon Gil, owner of the 4-star campsite Ma Prairie. It is located in the village of Trouillas only 15 kilometres from Perpignan and 26 kilometres from Canet-en-Roussillon and our campsite. It is only a 30 minute drive to visit the vineyard and participate in a wine tasting.
Wine, a family affair
In the 1820s, the Gil family ancestors created this estate. Even today, wine is a story of tradition and above all a family story. Indeed, it was in 1997 that André Gil and his wife Virginie took over the 32-hectare vineyard with the same passion for the Mediterranean terroir as his ancestors.
Guided tasting of our wines and local products
At the entrance to the village of Trouillas, a wine storehouse built in 2009 allows all Roussillon wine lovers to take part in a wine tasting. During this tasting, you will also discover the different ageing techniques and the specificities of the terroir. Winemaking methods, climatic conditions and the quality of the soil are all factors that enable us to produce a wide range of vintages with a rich aromatic quality. Among the grape varieties cultivated are Muscat d'Alexandrie, Syrah, Carignan or Grenache Noir.
You will be able to taste:
- Côtes du Roussillon PDO red, white or rosé
- Rivesaltes amber, tile and garnet
- Muscat de Rivesaltes
- Corto, local wine from the Catalan coasts
Partridge Thursdays
In July and August, the Domaine de la Perdrix offers a commented wine tasting with a plate of local products as an accompaniment. After the tasting, it is possible to have a picnic thanks to barbecues which are available. The evening ends in apotheosis with a concert from 9.30 pm to 11 pm.

An award-winning domain
The Domaine de la Perdrix vineyard has been rewarded on many occasions: Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole for the Pons Rouge 2014, Gold Medal at the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants 2016 for the Charakter Blanc and Ambassadeur du Roussillon 2016 for the T15 Rosé.
